American Cancer Society Cure By Design 2011

Body In Motion...

Working with photographer Jonathan Brandon always brings together a fun and creative day. For this particular shoot, I had the opportunity to meet fitness model Laura Wright.

As you can see, the images speak for themselves. Laura was not only beautiful and in amazing shape, she was super sweet and a pleasure to work with!

CHANEL National Makeup Artist John Fussel

I am so honored and excited to have been selected to be a part of the CHANEL Makeup Artistry Team working with CHANEL National Makeup Artist John Fussel while he visited the Mid-Atlantic region last week!

John Fussell has in almost 20 years in the beauty industry and has donned many hats...Stylist, Makeup Artist, and Artistry Trainer. Having trained extensively with the House of CHANEL, he brings a multitude of talents to his role as CHANEL'S National Makeup Artist. Being a part of this amazing series of events and meeting and working side by side with John was truly one of the highlights of my career.
 

We all had the opportunity to showcase The CHANEL 2011 Fall Color Collection and experience it through the talent and artistry that John brought to our team.

Looking forward to having him return to our area in January 2012!

Lincoln was so right and I took full advantage of this day I was given!
I've been so lucky to be busy with all of my June Brides and the beautiful wedding day makeup looks I've helped create for everyone. It was fun to sprinkle in something a little different...

I was given the opportunity to step out of my "Train Case" a bit and do some fun character makeup for the June 15th edition of Style Weekly Magazine. We shot at deLux Diner & Lounge located in the historic fan district of Richmond for The 2011 Bar Guide issue. Bartender Otto Bartsch of deLux and Bandito's Burrito Lounge was a really good sport as I transformed him into a modern day Abraham Lincoln. As you can see, he looked amazing and was a lot of fun to work with.

Belle Magazine Shoot

We just shot another issue of Belle Magazine on location at Aloft Hotel in West Broad Village, Short Pump that will hit stands in June. The makeup was fresh and light to go with the summer fashions selected by my friend and Fashion Editor Lauren Healy. I had the opportunity to work with Hair Stylist, Kate Montgomery again who I worked with on the Summer/Fall issue of VaBride Magazine that also comes out in June. Polished Pout just finished up an amazing photo shoot for the summer 2011 fashion spread coming out in the June issue of Virginia Bride Magazine. We had the luxury of shooting in one of my favorite areas in Virginia just west of Charlottesville. The venue was Swannanoa in Afton surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Swannanoa, as some may know, was the summer mansion of the famous James H. Dooley of Richmond who also built Maymont. We were surrounded by Georgian marble, Tiffany windows, gold plumbing fixtures, and terraced gardens...truly BREATHTAKING!

The Tuckahoe Woman's Club Annual Fashion Show 2011

         Had a great time working with my good friend and fellow Makeup Artist Angela Roth at The Tuckahoe Woman's Club  for their annual Spring Fashion Show. It had been over five years since I last participated so it was wonderful to be involved again.

I know I've been enjoying this beautiful weather we have all had an opportunity to take advantage of these past few days in our River City. I had a great fashion shoot with Belle Magazine last week and we are super excited about the March Issue. It looks AMAZING! I can't wait to have the link up and available for your visual enjoyment.

In the meantime...
I proudly slipped into my Chanel "Double Cs" for Saks Fifth Avenue at the Stony Point Fashion Park this weekend where our Spring 2011 Colour Collection is in full swing. The inspiration of what Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel truly believed is once again captured to luminous perfection by Global Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup, Peter Phillips.

I had the pleasure of spending some time with one of my great friends Beth Cregger who came in to enjoy a little Chanel pampering. She brought her niece Rachael with her for her first experience in all that shimmers at Chanel.

Dull Dry Skin Got You Down?

Check out these quick radiance boosting tips to lift your complexion up and out of the cold!

First, exfoliate to slough off any dead skin cells that prevent fresh vibrant skin from shining through.
Next, apply moisturizer with SPF 15 or higher to hydrate and protect exfoliated skin.
